Gilbert Toy Display
The A. C. Gilbert Company made toys from 1916 until 1967. Before that it was the Mysto Manufacturing Company. The toys were marketed to teen and pre-teen boys. Many were considered educational and would develop skills needed in future careers. By today’s standards, several were hazardous. This included working with molten glass, molten metals, electricity, raw chemicals, and radiation sources.
